Tommy Marth, The Killers Saxophonist, Dead of Apparent Suicide

Very sad news today from the world of music:

Tommy Marth, the saxophonist for The Killers on albums "Sam's Town" and "Day & Age," was found dead at his home in Las Vegas of an apparent suicide. He was 33.

A spokeswoman for the Clark County Coroner's Office has confirmed the finding, though no further details are available at this time.

Marth was well known around Sin City for also jamming with local acts such as the Big Friendly Corporation and Black Camaro.

"Last night we lost our friend Thomas Marth. Our prayers are with his family. There's a light missing in Las Vegas tonight. Travel well, Tommy," read a statement the Killers posted on their Facebook page and on Twitter.

The musician is survived by his parents and two siblings.
