Salary: ??30,122 to ?35,938 Plus ?2,798 London Allowance
Full Time Fixed Term for 22 months ? Maximum starting salary is ?32,920 inclusive of London Allowance

The post will involve working on a recently funded British Heart Foundation project to identify common and rare variants underpinning electrocardiographic traits and arrhythmogenic disease. The position will provide an exciting opportunity for statistical geneticists, or those with strong statistical backgrounds and skills wishing to move into this field. The project includes a large and unique dataset from the Twins UK registry (led by Prof Tim Spector), a subset of which has been included in the Wellcome funded UK10k project to sequence 10,000 individuals.

Applicants should have a PhD in statistics or quantitative genetics, or equivalent experience.? Previous experience in working with large-scale genetic datasets and the application of statistical methods to the analysis of next generation sequencing data is highly desirable. As you will be managing the day-to-day running of the research project, good organisation and communication skills are essential.?
