Soap Dish: The State Of Daytime TV

It is Soap Dish time again my friends and this week I am dishing all about the state of daytime television. I feel like it has been a while since I chatted about this topic and with the launch of Good Afternoon America I feel it is necessary. As you all know there are only four daytime soap operas on television right now. Even though The Revolution was given the axe to make room for Katie Couric?s talk show that doesn?t mean General Hospital is safe. As for Days well they keep getting renewed for only like a year or so at a time, so in my opinion the fate of both of these shows are always up in the air. The only shows that I think will be around for decent amount of time are The Bold and The Beautiful as well as The Young and The Restless. I say that because CBS seemed to have some faith in those shows I mean the later has been #1 forever basically. NBC and ABC don?t seem to give a crap at all about Soap Opera?s anymore.
