Ally?s North American Automotive Finance segment yesterday reported auto originations at $11.7 billion, up from $10.3 billion in 2Q11. According to the 2012 Big Wheel Auto Finance Report, Ally swept both the loan and lease originations for 2011 as originations totaled $40.2 billion in 2011, up from $31.6 billion in 2010. Part of that is due to critical planning.
